Triangle play is a playgroup class that emphasizes the importance of children's learning activities in interaction with three influences: parent (or caregiver), teacher, and a beautifully prepared environment.

In the spring 2017 we combined TrianglePlay with French in the Park.  We studied the language of color, the language of plants, the language of water, and the language of animals with the French language.

Our wonderful teacher Cecile Pachelli developed the French in the Park method to engage children on multiple sensorial levels and to combine comprehension and expression to learn French.  The approach is very effective by focusing on simple well defined words and songs to build memorization. Children and adults alike enjoy the lessons and acquire rapid proficiency that scaffolds the building of sentences.

We will continue this format for Triangle Play this coming school year. We will create a series of activities around familiar beloved objects to learn basic vocabulary, greetings, and counting. As we play games, sing songs, read books, and explore materials, arts, and science we will develop a rich emergent curriculum together while we continue to expend the French vocabulary. We are sure to learn indoors and outdoors as we take nature walks, observe animals and plants, and explore creek ecology.

The French in The Park DVD, sticker booklet and CD of songs are included with this Triangle Play. You may look at the link below for a taste of French in the Park.
