Triangle play is a playgroup class that emphasizes the importance of children's learning activities in interaction with three influences: parents (or caregivers), teachers, and a beautifully prepared environment.
Within the context of the Reggio inspiration as a nature school we study the “100 languages of children”. For example, we explore the language of color, the language of plants, the language of water, or the language of frogs and insects. In addition to these, we layer the study of the French language.

There will be so much to learn indoors and outdoors as we explore labs and ateliers, and take nature walks in the forest, and participate in husbandry with goats and crops!
In addition to studying ecological interactions, we will explore concepts around sustainability. We will create a series of activities around familiar concepts while using objects and actions to learn vocabulary, greetings, and counting. As we play games, sing songs, read books, and explore materials, arts, and science we develop a rich emergent curriculum together.
We use Cecile Pachelli’s French in the Park method to engage children on multiple sensorial levels and to combine comprehension and expression to learn French. The approach is very effective by focusing on simple well defined words and songs to build memorization. Children and adults alike enjoy the lessons and acquire proficiency that scaffolds the building of sentences. Have a look at some French lessons and songs that we use during assembly with the link below.
