Airiana Esmond

I was born here in Nashville. When I was four years old, my family moved to Spring Hill, which is not the small rural town it used to be. I lived there for about 17 years before relocating to Murfreesboro, where I currently live and adore it.

When I was in college, I was heavily influenced to go into nursing school. Not having any other idea of what to study, I decided to just go with it. That first week of classes was my last week of classes. I realized that nursing was not for me and scrambled to find something that I’d like to do. I took a big leap of faith and decided to pursue early childhood and elementary education and fell so deeply in love with working with children, and well, here I am.

I’ve met a lot of wonderful childcare providers and educators that have taught me so many valuable things. 

I’ve grown and changed in so many ways, but I’m most proud of the little family I’ve created with my fiancé.

I love watching horror movies and diving into dramatic TV shows with my fiancé. On the weekends, we host game/movie night with friends.

I love painting and drawing, though I don’t create as much as I used to.

Up until last year, I had never had a mango. Now, I really love mangoes. 

Red is my most favorite color, but I also like pink and black.

Travel out of the country.

I love giving young children the freedom to explore and create new and meaningful experiences. Everything is new to them, and each day is filled with an abundance of learning opportunities.
