Jordan Holbrook

Getting to Know the Floater Assistant

  • I was born in Atlanta, GA, and lived in the metro Atlanta area until I moved to Alabama briefly, then middle Tennessee with my family at age 13. I’ve lived all over Tennessee, spending years in Franklin, Chattanooga, Martin, and I currently call Gallatin home with my beautiful wife, Sarah.

My name came from a baby book. I was born an identical triplet, and with three kids to name at once, my parents decided to pick names they liked from a list. I think it turned out well!

  • Teaching has always felt like my calling and my passion. I’m driven to spend my life working with children, supporting their growth, and continually refining my own skills as an educator. I have a deep love for learning, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive is at the heart of my work. I’m still early in my career and look forward to expanding my journey in child development after completing my bachelor’s degree.

  • Here at A New Leaf, I am an assistant to my fellow faculty and our students at the Garden Campus. Every day is different, and I love facing new challenges and helping my friends with whatever it may be!

  • My sisters are my heroes every day. Allison and Madelyn, I sincerely thank you for being endlessly supportive over the mountains and valleys of my life. I love you forever, skizzers!

  • I’ve spent a lot of time discovering my true self and growing into my confidence. For a long while, I felt unsettled, unhappy with many things and searching for a change I didn’t yet realize I needed. Through hard work and learning to embrace self-love, I’ve become proud of the person I am today. Now, I look toward the future with excitement and hope for all that’s yet to come.

  • I love to hike, fish, go camping, cook delicious meals, and take in the joys and blessings of my everyday life. I have so much to be grateful for!

  • I speak the languages of peace, positive energy, and taking a deep breath in the morning sun.

  • I like to eat just about anything! I especially love chocolate. My sweet tooth is a beast I struggle to fight back!

  • My favorite color is purple because it’s pretty!

  • I would like to meet an elephant some day!

  • Every day at A New Leaf makes me want to come back the next. I adore working with children, this work fills my cup and my days go by full of learning, play, and so much more.

It is a sacred trust to be tasked with the care of somebody’s beloved child, and the privilege to occupy this space as a caregiver drives me to succeed every day!
